Caricatures, complete with verses, appeared in the Danish newspaper of G & B performing in front of Emperor Wilhelm and Hermanine.
Showing is the official Document awarding them the title of "Imperial and Royal Accordionists". Also, at bottom right, a thank you telegram from the Emperor. G & B had made it a habit of sending the Emperor a birthday greeting every year since their concert in 1923. This telegram is dated 1927, so at least up to that point, there had been communication between them.
